Kia's 2026 hybrid lineup covers four distinct vehicle types: a compact crossover, a mid-size SUV, a three-row SUV, and a full-size family van. Each uses a different version of the hybrid powertrain and serves a different kind of driver — but they all share the same goal of reducing fuel consumption compared to their gas-only equivalents. If fuel economy is your primary consideration, here is...
The Kia Forte enters its 13th year on the market in 2022. After a smashing start in 2010, it has been redesigned twice since, in 2014 and 2019. For 2022, we're not talking about a new generation, but the changes are so significant that we have to take notice.
In fact, Kia offers us the best Forte to date. Let's see why.
Advanced styling
When it comes to a mid-cycle upgrade, it always means cosmetic improvements. The 2022 Forte is no exception, with a redesigned front end that borrows from the family's newer products. It even has a light signature that is unique to the new electric EV6. In profile and from the rear, the larger Stinger sedan is also noticeable if you let your imagination run wild. You can also see a spoiler that has been integrated into the trunk.
Objectively speaking, the Forte looks better and more aggressive than ever. It will have no trouble standing out from some of its more blandly styled rivals.
Enhanced technology
Once you're in the driver's seat, you'll notice something new with all versions of the model; the presence of a TFT display in the instrument cluster. With a size of 4.2 inches, it will offer additional relevant information to the person at the controls.
Then, on the GT variants, we will now admire a 10.25-inch screen at the top of the center console. This adds a touch of luxury to a model that normally relies on an 8-inch unit. Another interesting new feature is the ability to wirelessly connect to your favorite app, whether it's Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.
Your safety
But Kia didn't stop there. When it comes to safety, they've upped the ante so you're even more protected in your Forte. For example, the standard equipment on each model is revealed with lane keeping assist, lane tracking assist, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, driver attention alert, and lane departure warning.
Then there are other optional features for those who want more. This is the case with the adaptive cruise control which, in addition to keeping a safe distance from the vehicle in front of you, can now slow down like a man when approaching a curve. And how? Because it's registered in the navigation system and the link is made automatically between the machine and the road.
Rear cross traffic alerts and safe exit alerts are also available.
Truly, the 2022 Kia Forte is more complete and attractive than ever. Stop by to see it and take it for a test drive.
