Kia's 2026 hybrid lineup covers four distinct vehicle types: a compact crossover, a mid-size SUV, a three-row SUV, and a full-size family van. Each uses a different version of the hybrid powertrain and serves a different kind of driver — but they all share the same goal of reducing fuel consumption compared to their gas-only equivalents. If fuel economy is your primary consideration, here is...
The 2021 Kia Seltos is brand new in the market and critics are already raving about it. It features a pair of powerful engines as well as advanced safety features and technologies all built on a solid and very stylish platform. The Hyundai Venue is also a newcomer in the segment. Let’s compare the two to see how they line up against each other.
Better powertrain options with the 2021 Kia Seltos
The 2021 Kia Seltos offers a choice of two engines. A four-cylinder 2.0-litre engine outputs 146 hp and 132 lb-ft of torque powers the LX and EX models. This is quite more powerful than the Venue’s only engine options - a 1.6 litre four cylinder which reduces power to 121 hp and 113 lb-ft of torque.
The Seltos steps up even higher with a 1.6-litre turbocharged option in the SX Turbo variant. This powerplant outputs 175 hp and 195 lb-ft of torque for optimal SUV performance.
While the Seltos pairs its smaller engine with a CVT and its larger engine with a performance-oriented 7-Speed twin clutch automatic gearbox, the Venue only offers a CVT across the board.
The Seltos is way ahead in terms of performance; however, it has one key element that puts it even further in terms of safety and handling: Kia’s state of the art all-wheel drive system. This is an essential piece of equipment to get through our harsh winter conditions. The Hyundai Venue doesn’t offer it.
More space and equipment inside the Kia Seltos
The Kia Seltos offers a premium interior that surpasses its rivals in terms of style and comfort. But it is also more spacious. For example, it deploys 752 litres of cargo volume when it is full of passengers. The Hyundai Venue can only offer 530 litres. Moreover, when the Seltos’s rear seats are folded, a total of 1778 litres are available for anything you need to carry. The Venue only deploys 903 litres in the same configuration, which is almost half the space!
The Seltos also offers considerably more leg room for rear passengers (965 mm vs. 870 mm).
The Kia Seltos provides more performance, comfort and technologies, and it’s a much safer vehicle in the winter thanks to the available AWD. You can shop for your car online with us, our representatives are waiting for your call and can answer all your questions.
